Understanding God's law and that remarriage is not permissible in the New Testament would have prevented people from promoting the work of adultery through heretical, ear-tickling preachers. They would not have listened to fakes that overlook sexual defilement behind their pulpit and in the home life of many! 2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” I don't expect people to be without faults; we are human. However, I do expect people who think they are learning of Christ to compare the Scriptures with what they see and hear. The Apostle Paul advised for people to do the things they learned of him. Notwithstanding, all people who claim to be speaking the word of God do not live like Paul did. They have their own “tolerate this” and “tolerate this not” ideas. Many of the ones who tolerate remarriage and sexual defilement have large deceived audiences that practice some theological points but ignore commandments that do not allow their illegitimate relationships and sexual desires. Who really cares about the homiletics of someone who does not care about biblical morals? About someone who has been married twice or more? Who would marry off an unchaste woman to a man? Who really cares about the hermeneutics of someone who doesn't understand biblical doctrine? Nevertheless, our decaying, society listens to these teachers and vocal entertainers as if they are doing service by following them. They not only convince the audience to swallow their toxic passivity toward correction, they endeavor to have them join in their schools, communities or choirs. The people are encouraged to be part of the malformation of a spiritual entity that leads to destruction, and of course, being convinced they are a part of the social organism that condones their sins in a way they think well of themselves (itching their ears), they give their money in support of it. A Godly teacher could never encourage such support. The Apostle Paul wept because of the deception of people that were associated with the gospel but not following it, Philippians 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) We must adhere to the Scriptures and not vain men. We must deny ourselves and our fleshly desires. May God help us. Amen
