I Corinthians 7

¹⁶ For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? ¹

The effort to save a spouse may also save a marriage. Remember the mystery (Eph. 25:5) of marriage as it is related to Christ and the church. An important point here that I would like to mention is to prevent an unequal yoke to begin with, and you won't have an infidelity issue. However, since that is not the case here, extra work is required to achieve agreement and peace with the unbelieving spouse. Many times it may seem almost impossible, but a good and sincere effort will be appreciated.
