Needs for Christian Influence upon Tax Reform

The descendants of the founders of the national institution should be given free taxes and repaid for their former generosity and present day persecution for the following reasons and more:

"Even though our primary objectives should not be political, our manifest, spiritual weaknesses show up in politics and other governmental business. (In ancient days, Jesus himself was not excluded from those that received tribute (Mt. 17:24-27). Ironically, now minorities and emigrants from non-founding nations avoid, if not evade, paying taxes, and spend our tax money in this country. They even have better economic opportunities than the native heirs in some instances.)"  Restoration

"On the other hand, in regard to other aspects of patriotism excluding nationalism, the paying of our taxes satisfies the ordinance of God. Though we certainly do not agree with all the purposes of the expenditures of government, good is implemented on our part by financial support. We should not resist this obligation (Rom. 13:1-8).

"However, these expenses could be diminished by providing our own educational institutions for children, including the indigent. By overcoming anti-Christian discipline, such as the prevention or discouragement (or even the lack of encouragement) of children praying, reading the Bible and preaching, a great step in fighting the good combat of faith would be accomplished (I Tim. 6:12-16)."  Active Piety

"Many people who immigrated to the USA several decades ago have either become wealthy or at least enjoyed the opportunity to work. No matter how hard they worked, they would not have had that privilege to work if this country did not permit them to come here. They came here because the people that settled this country let them come here. There should have been gratefulness or respect for the descendants of the founders because of that opportunity. However, on the other hand, you can not really anticipate respect when you allow the mixing of other cultures without restrictive dues upon them (such as taxes); see Mt. 17:24-27. Now the heirs are suffering restrictions due to a racial countermeasure--Affirmative Action."    Anti-Romanist Letter

"Government, on a more broad scale, and parents, on a small scale, are related as to both being structural units involving the lives of people. Therefore, parenting children is a good analogy: Good parents don't provide for their nephews, nieces, or children of a stranger before their own children: parental responsibilities must come first--their own children must come first. Then, if there is anything left over, it is at the charity, mercy and grace of the parents to do with it as they desire. A parent is considered worse than an infidel if he doesn't provide for his own children (I Tim. 5:8). A good parent doesn't give his children's food away and leave them to ask for crumbs. How much credibility does a political leader or a justice have who abandons the heirs of the nation that provides his office? Or how much credibility does his supporters and those who have an influence upon him have as faithful, loyal, honest, law abiding citizens? There is a moral to provide for the disabled, who is not able to work; but there is a moral and required ethic to provide for one's own first!

"The collapse of the nation and its sovereignty has continued. In ancient days, Jesus himself was not excluded from those that received tribute (Mt. 17:24-27). Impliedly, a nation keeps its people free through taxing strangers."  Anti-Romanist Letter
