How To Overcome An Alcohol Or Drug Problem

It takes positive, fellowship support to get back to normal after picking up a bad habit. A man who has succumbed cannot cure a bad learning process alone. A drunk wasn't born that way; he learned (in a bad way) how to abuse a substance rather than taking the proper amount at the proper time. So to undo that bad process it takes looking unto others for moral support, not self-destructive denial of brotherly love.

The addicts that begin to recover or get back to normal get help either directly from God or other people. Even the ones that depend on God alone begin with associating with other Christians; the selfish personality that ignores God's plan of blessed fellowship only wastes away in delusion or deteriorates.
