No Prints on Your Body The bible says not to “ … print any marks upon you ...” (Leviticus 19:28). The verse has to do with ancient mourning custom but it also plainly speaks about marks. So we certainly advise no tattoo's--if you already have one or more, take a moment of penance and don't get anymore. Plainness vs Images Christians should be modest and plain. We should not even have statues or images for representation; we should depend upon word articulation for our expression. Although Athanasius spoke positively concerning them, I personally recommend not even wearing crosses because many people who do so don't really stand up for the word of God, and Jesus is the word made flesh.
