Vocabulary Psalm 119:1 Notice: the root forms do not exactly match their extended, grammatical expression in the Hebrew text. The grammatical expression is built upon the root form. The pronunciation also changes depending on the use of the word in a sentence. Accents, vowels, prefixes, interfixes and suffixes also may change the sound and form of a word. When you look up a word in Hebrew, remember you start the word from right to left. Begin looking up these words in any Hebrew concordance or lexicon that you may have. The first letter will be aleph. Now look for the sheen. So that will be almost at the end of the aleph's, just before the tav's start. Once you find the aleph and the sheen, you can search for the resh. That shoul be near the end of the sheen's. Start looking up any words by their spelling, not the #, so you will become used to working on your own. Hopefully, I can help you develop your hearing to the point you can look up the words in an analytical concordance just by hearing the word.
