I Corinthians 7 28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.1 Paul continues his conversation speaking with the male virgin in general. After reminding him earlier in verse 26 and suggesting the goodness of being single, he states directly to him that it is not a sin to become a married man. Then he refers to the female virgin, and says the same, she has not sinned if she marries. A virgin has a God-given right to marry if he or she wants to. Nevertheless, it is up to the paternal parent of the female virgin (v. 36) to give her or not in marriage. Next verse, previous verse other verses 1The Holy Bible: King James Version. (1995).
