Addiction goes deeper than chemical dependency. Addicts have sin as well as thieves. People are born with a sin nature (https://www.hesedken.com/racial-cultural_homogeneity/national/soul_mind_spirit.html) even though they may do good things at times. Getting drunk is evil, it is a sin. So is getting high on other substances (https://www.hesedken.com/pharmakeia/war_against_drug_pseudo-philosophy.html). Getting smashed for the religious celebration (https://www.hesedken.com/holiday/purim.html") is not righteous at all; it is sin. Galatians 5: 19-21 tells us: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." On the other hand, these were great videos. I personally recommend Teen Challenge for rehabilitation. After leaving there, I have over 40 years sobriety now.
