Ottis Toole/Donnie Swaggart Comparison

Adultery and murder were crimes that concurred the death penalty in the Old Testament. Today, we live in a world that is falling away from morality. We have preachers promoting adultery and fornication. Merely because they don't explicitly condone murder does that make them ok? Certainly not! Thank God Toole was caught and locked up, but Swaggart and fornicators run rampant. He even threatens to go to take his message to other countries.

What if someone like Ottis Toole wanted to preach in your church, wouldn't it be time to look for another fellowship? How about a fornicator such as Swaggart? How about the women fornicators associate with? Is is possible that female divorcees and those that remarry these days experience physical re-virginity? Of course not! When the works don't match up to what the Bible teaches, it is time to discern and make judgment. It is time to seek God through the holy scriptures, not man.

Donnie Swaggart, known for his five-minutes marriage promotion, is still drawing attendees to his mock services. His father and mother support him! Henry Lee Lucas assisted Toole. Many of Swaggart's audience assist his deception through their financial support. Many other challengers of deceit have been admired and socially rewarded instead of rebuked. Don't let this type of tragedy victimize you. Christians must separate themselves from such so-called fellowship.
