I Corinthians 7

⁹ But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.¹

It is good for people to marry under legitimate circumstances, even though it may be better to remain single. However, it is not intended as a means to commit adultery or fornication, as we formerly discussed in v. 1. A good point to remember is that it is better for a man to marry (not remarry) than to burn in lust.
