Overcoming State of Mind and Impurity Sin

A person living with his mind in an impure state due to bad judgment on an issue or mere ignorance of God is in need of repentance. Purity doesn't allow impurity or thoughts that are as rebellion against God's will. God's word divides such negative thoughts from the truth, and they are discernible and must be renounced. Learn to live in God's love and purity:

Substitue the word “Godly love” for “charity” in these beautiful, seventeenth century style (KJV) verses:

I Cor. 13:4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”

A pure mind will think positively and protectively:

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Walking in a state of bad judgment and ignorance is similar to the rebellion and “other gods” worship of the wayward men of Israel in Jeremiah, chapter three. It is neglecting to walk according to the law, and its fulfillment. Continuous sin is different than non-continuous sin. Sin can be forgiven (1 John 1:9) and God gives cleanliness from repented sin.
