Hesedken Presents THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
There are different ways of counting them but they add up to ten! It is good to remember that we live under the day of grace and not the law. Therefore, we should also recognize the changes of the Old Testament through time (especially upon marriage after the book of Deuteronomy) and the effect the New Testament had upon the Old Testament.

1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20)

God's name is Jehovah God does not want people in bondage to anything but himself Avoid negative substance addictions Don't put your trust in uncertain security

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20)

Statue worship is prohibited. (Of course, we know through faith that things made can't speak and are not worthy of consideration of being a deity.) We should also beware of false religions such as Islam and modern heresies. Our worship of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ should be pure. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to God

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. (Exodus 20)

Never take the name of the Lord lightly: Always have reverence and respect the creator is greater than the creature. Never falsify his truths. A person who does so can not be clean. Avoid vain Roman Catholic repetitions and the Rosary

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20)

Where the Old Testament meets the New Testament: The Sabbath and God's rest--Jesus is the rest we need to enter

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (Exodus 20)

Following wisdom gives us length of time on the earth. Parents should know how to keep their youth better than the child Unfortunately, some parents are reckless Don't leave home unless it is an absolute necessity You must beware that youth have suffered all kinds of things on their own without proper direction.

13 Thou shalt not kill. (Exodus 20)

Different types of sin

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Exodus 20)

Adultery was a sin as stated. Wives were expected to be chaste. The marriage was authorized by the male parent. This was during the time of the first law. However, eventually in time, things changed and the second law came about. Moses allowed the men of Israel to divorce and remarry. Nevertheless, time passed and the Lord Jesus Christ eventually restored marital sanctity and purity such as that of Adam and Eve; he reproved and explained remarriage as adultery. We live in the apostasy now, and many heretical churches ignore God's reproof through Jesus.

15 Thou shalt not steal. (Exodus 20)

Stealing is horrible. I remember when I was young boy I stole a carton of animal cookies in a store. When I walked out with them I was confronted by a seemingly nice person and learned that what I did was wrong. God can't bless us if we are not honest. Stealing brings punishment eventually. I even have grief for my sins today when I think about them. If it is not yours, don't take it unless you are buying it.

The city of Jerusalem belongs to God, but a people of a false religion (Islam) are claiming part of it to be theirs. In a sense, this is a form of theft and stealing. The USA's culture is being stolen through the demonic elite misusing propaganda. Our once homogeneous demographic has been polluted through immigration invasion. This is also a form of stealing.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (Exodus 20)

Be truthful when you speak about people. It is good to always be truthful. Telling a lie or speaking against a person in a deceptive way brings harm to them. A person in a court of law may try to tell a lie on someone in order to keep the blame being put on himself or someone else. This is evil.

Some people of false religions speak about the Bible in a deceptive way. They are very deceived. They even deny the deity of Jesus the Christ and give a false representation of him to others.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s. (Exodus 20)

Work with your hands Avoid gambling Christian real estate development Real estate principles Looking upon a woman in the wrong way is bad but not as harmful as actually having an affair

Christian standards pointing toward the walls of purity and separation from those who pollute holy guidelines and precepts:

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you." (2 Cor. 6.17)
