Success: Important Things To Know (And Apply or Reject) About
Nicaea, Trent And Other Councils
Mt. 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus
Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused
to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child
of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then
Joseph her husband, being a just man,
and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to
put her away privily. 20 But
while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord
appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of
David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which
is conceived in her is of the Holy
Ghost. 21 And
she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name
JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now
all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold,
a virgin shall be with child, and
shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then
Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had
bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And
knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and
he called his name JESUS. (KJV)
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore
the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Deity of Christ
and Anathematization of Heretics, Recognition of Days Although
many learned Christians have various disagreements, especially
concerning bureaucratic rule, the celebration of Easter [by the
way, see Precedence],
and many other issues concerning the questions and exegesis of
the Council
of Nicaea,
a very good and important explanation culminated concerning the
deity of Christ, and anathematization of those who argue
against it (Catholic
Encyclopedia, Denunciation
of Talmud Heresy).
“First
Ecumenical Council, of which the following is a literal
translation:
“We believe
in one God
the Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and
invisible; and in one Lord
Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father, that is, of
the substance
[ek tes ousias] of the Father, God
of God,
light of light, true
God of true
God, begotten not made, of the same substance with the
Father [homoousion
to patri], through whom all things were made both in
heaven
and on earth; who for us men and our salvation
descended, was incarnate, and was made man, suffered and rose
again the third day, ascended
into heaven and cometh to judge the living and the dead.
And in the Holy
Ghost. Those who say: There was a time when He was not, and
He was not before He was begotten; and that He was made out of
nothing (ex ouk onton); or who maintain that He is of
another hypostasis
or another substance [than the Father], or that the Son
of God is created,
or mutable, or subject to change, [them] the Catholic
Church
anathematizes.”

Deity
of the Lord Jesus Christ: God Is Revealed as Not a Spirit
Only, But as a Man Also
From the
Torah: God as a Man upon the Earth (and a Being in Heaven at
the Same Time!) A study of angels reveals to
us that God did present himself in the likeness of a man during
the time of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Also,
Genesis
1:26 tells us that God made man in the image of himself,
"in our image". (Note the plurality.)
Angels are not mentioned as
merely, genderless beings. Many verses explicitly reveal the
male gender. An etymological meaning of Gabriel is "man of
God".
One of the wickednesses of Sodom
and Gomorrah before the destruction was homosexuality. The
perverts did not want Lot's chaste daughters; they wanted the
men with Lot. The MEN with Lot were angels. Take notice,
theophanically in Genesis
18:2, God (Jehovah)
was with the other two men: "three men". He (Jehovah)
was the one who rained brimstone and fire upon Sodom and
Gomorrah from the Lord (Jehovah) out of the heavens (Genesis
19:24-27). (Note the same identity of person and oneness.)
From the
New Testament: God as a Man Luke
17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they
did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they
builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it
rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is
revealed.

I
don't believe the KJV translates the verse above very well.
Heretic
Singer grammatically elaborates this. Nevertheless, being
raised “Jewish”
and learning to speak Hebrew
does not make a person a Jew nor does the Masoretic text
necessarily hold authority on all occasions. We Christians must
learn the original
languages and make better translations so as to not give
the errant and unbelieving
opportunity to reprove us. Scripture is unerring but saying
this also requires that we search the manuscripts
to approach an equivalent of a prototype. This is a learned
endeavor.

Revocation of
Office of Greedy Minister: A Deterrent to Profession of
Interest Earning and Anti-Christian Banking Another
important decree was the revocation [see Canons
at # 17] of an office of a minister who charged interest to
someone. This wisdom
seems to have been
neglected greatly today within many church governments.
Neglectful, modern ministers have interest earning accounts.
Also, the sin of gaining from interest is one thing, but
reversibly, finance committees of many less learned churches
seem to neglect the idea of unnecessarily giving dishonorable
gain and borrow from a creditor. It would be better for members
of the church to pay for a tent in full rather than borrow
money to build a new building. The deeds of the church should
shine as a light unto a dark world. The USA has been accursed
with non-Christian hegemony
and the Federal
Reserve system, debt and usury-based
finance. When materialism and meeting the ends becomes first
priority without responsibly considering the means, there is
blindness and spiritual need.

did not take long before the post-early church had many heresy
problems and the Dark Ages came about. We do not accept certain
decrees of later councils

concerning such, including many other various and different
issues not mentioned, as an authoritative source because it is
not early church authority or also has manifest errors. One
heresy in particular is the Romanist doctrine of idols or

Following the early church example is appropriate, not
necessarily the post-early-church example. However, as you may
realize, the Roman Catholics do not follow the
no-interest-earning and no-dishonorable gain rules of the
post-early-church Council of Nicaea. How can they say they are
from the root when they deviate from both eras!
