Requirements of a Deacon “And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.” (I Timothy 3:10, KJV) The deacon is a family man and servant/minister/table server of the local church, relatively under the theological authority of the overseer. 6. He must be tested and approved. The deacon must not have any faults or vulnerabilities that could give a bad example or harm visitors of the church. The deacon must be blameless. BEGINNING A LOCAL CHURCH We must get out of the polluted congregations that will not repent of sexual uncleanness and begin our own congregations. Deacons needed: See above. The best way that I can think of to establish clean churches is to establish communities in order to raise the children to be sexually clean, so they honorably marry and have the sexual cleanliness attribute so as to meet the requirement to serve as ministers.
