Fallen Angels And The Books Of Enoch |

SONS OF GOD The question is: Who were the “sons of God” that are mentioned in Genesis 6:2? Some may believe they were righteous men born from their ancestors Adam and Eve. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:14, KJV) Others may believe they were fallen angels as mentioned in the books 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch and 3 Enoch. However, the books of Enoch are non-canonical in our time and give a view of conspiratorial, fallen angels as sons of God. I suggest you establish your opinion after becoming well acquainted with the canonical books. TODAY Christians are the sons and daughters of God today, and are noted as such through faith and adoption of God. Christianity is the only religion that follows the three eras and both the old and new covenants through the fulfillment of Jesus the Christ. They practice monogamy and are directed to seek chaste wives. They follow the fulfillment era (New Testament) and recognize the reproof as to adultery and other sins as Malachi prophesied (Malachi 3:1-5), whereas anti-Christian religions do not. THE LORD DECIDED TO DESTROY THE EARTH AND THE WICKED “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” (Genesis 6:3, KJV) God wasn't pleased with the righteous choosing the unrighteous merely because of their beauty. Even though evil spirits lead men into sin and temptation, God was disappointed seemingly more so with flesh than fallen angels (the specific term isn't used in the Genesis verse, but seems may very well be the case). GIANTS LIVING UPON THE EARTH It seems there is a timeline here: the giants were not on earth before the sons of God came unto the daughters of men. From a genetic perspective, mere faithful men would not give genes that made giants or else all Christians would have gigantic children, so the context itself seems to reveal a strange thing happened but not with much explanation other than noting “sons of God”. Therefore, under those circumstances and the Hebrew and Greek context, the giants were a genetic and physical product of the sons of God but not initial partners with them. Therefore, I believe other books than the 66 canonical books must be considered for a deeper study of the subject, especially the books of Enoch. “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” (Genesis 6:4, KJV)
