Christian moral: We should have a biblical (correct) conception of what day the sabbath is. Furthermore, we should have tolerance toward one choosing either to regard one day above another; or 14:4-6)--we must avoid legalism in the sense of exalting the law rather than the fulfillment of the law (Col. 2:16, 17). An early error of legalism, among other things, long perpetuated through Romanist despotism, is revealed.

Christian moral: Christians must hold or love the virtue of a faithful witness for Christ pre-eminent more so than self-preservation, and absolutely more so than lust.
