Frances Swaggart Lack of Chastity Delusion
This is my critique of sister Frances Swaggart and her video Frances and Friends: Speaking in Tongues.
Beware! Don't be deceived by people like Frances and her friends, and live in fornication. An illegitimate marriage should be annulled. Living single for the sake of purity is Godly repentance. Accept God's forgiveness of your previous, unfaithful decisions and live a new life even single if it requires for Jesus, but not as a whore or not being chaste.
Go to approximately 40 minutes, 36 seconds on the time line (as of June 2, 2013)
God does forgive. (I John 1:9) However, we live in a day when people are confusing forgiveness for a previous sexual relationship (penetration) as an excuse to evade the issue of morality and chastity in a consecutive relationship. God requires female virginity for marriage (Ex. 22:16, Dt. 22:13-21, 28, 29). Therefore, a defiled female may repent and be forgiven, but she must remain abstinent and not seek any more pre-marital relationships. More blessed and free are the chaste.
Biblical marriage or female singleness under undesirable conditions is determined by the father of the daughter to be given, not by the daughter or boyfriend! Sexual intercourse precipitates a decision in some cases.
Exodus 22:16 “And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.” Note, this is a command. So in the case of incest, properly and depending upon the circumstances, the relationship would be renounced by the parent, avenged by the parent, or require disannulment and the ex-virgin would have to remain single and not marry someone else at a later time to prevent fornication. If the male partaker had found instead an acceptable (of age) virgin who was not a relative and had sex with her, he would have been expected to marry her.
Incest became prohibited after some dispensational progression through the law. Understanding dispensations and close-relative law:
"In
order to understand what is Biblically acceptable concerning the
close relative law of marriage, you must realize that God's
commandments were given in dispensations. From the beginning, Adam
and Eve were the progenitors of the whole earth. Thus,
hypothetically, through regeneration, the earth could not have been
filled with people without one of their sons having sex with one of
their daughters. The close relative law was not in effect at that
time. Even later on, as the world passed, what was once permitted in
Jacob's time was incriminated in Lv. 18:18. As time continued, God's
laws were increased and written. Eventually and finally, the New
Testament books were written. So, even with a brief recalling, the
marriage between cousins may seem surprisingly close today; however,
it did not violate the close relative law of Lv. 18:6- 18)."
More
details
Even though an incest male partaker is not allowed to marry his female partaker, he still has “known” the female: physically and mentally. If he had married her and died she would be free from her marital bondage to him, but since she can't marry him, she must at least not marry another while the male incest partaker is alive.
Also, a reason the female partaker of the incest case would have to remain single for at least the life span of the male partaker is because she would not have chastity to offer a man, a biblical requirement. Even though many times female incest partakers are manipulated at a young age and not guilty of the crime as the male, the female must not look unto marriage with someone else while the male incest partaker (her first man) is alive. Dt. 22:20 “But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: 21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.”
In our day, many women have suffered physical abuse and on top of that have been misdirected by their so-called pastors. Let me make a brief and safe point: If a woman has been directed to marry even while she is not chaste, she can have that illegitimate marriage annulled.
It is illusory to think marriage is instituted by mere contract! Marriage is a physical sex act between a virgin female and a male (Ex. 22:16, Dt. 22:13-21, 28, 29)--biblical revelation. The virginity of a woman is proof of a woman's eligibility to marry--natural revelation. The male partner by either sharing or violating the virgin female's chastity becomes either a husband or a polygamist (although legally disallowed in many places), the latter sexual status is in contradiction to a new testament principle of monogamy (I Cor. 7:27). Nature and God's written word, natural and biblical revelation, harmonize as to the enlightenment of the essence of marriage and encourage the continuance of a chaste relationship.
The once virgin female partner no longer has a justifiable opportunity to have sex with anyone else as long as her first male sex partner is alive--to do so would commit fornication. In the case of the female's first man dying, she would have a justifiable opportunity to date or marry someone else (Romans 7:1-3). Sexual experiences with men other than the first man (while he is living) defile the female and commence a degree of unchastity even if the first man were to die. Marriage is based upon the principle of unity ("one flesh" Gn. 2:24) and chastity.
Now, on the other hand, divorce is a psychological-physical separation through commitment (I Cor. 7:10, 11): when the act of divorce is put in writing it becomes a public notice.
So, considering the biblical facts concerning the essence of marriage and divorce, and the world-wide immoral sexual circumstances, there are probably many unregistered (unpublished) marriages (more so than are revealed by statistics, or spoken of) and divorces. Subsequently, due to the disregard of biblical precepts, many unregistered and registered forbidden, but legalized, marriages have resulted.
