The Hebrews repented from miscegenation and made amendments that complied with the law (Ezra 10). They changed their way of error. (They even made a covenant.) That is true repentance. Of course, this change was in alignment with God's will and He could forgive them for their previous error. However, when there is a lack of true repentance, there is a lack of adhering to God's will, and that is like rebellion. This is a problem we concur among the erring churches of the apostasy. Many are preaching this or that but are living in fornication or condoning it. They are living with a defiled woman and claiming forgiveness without true repentance, without separation. Thus we have a restoration problem of Christian sexual abstinence when necessary: fornication and damage control. Hopefully some will see the light and bear fruit for God by observing the abstinence solution. Links: |
