You can lend in faith, but try to get out of debt if you are in it and save the money you need to build a church building if you want. Borrowing is not a good idea. Christians are to be the head, not the tail, a part of a curse (Dt. 28). However, those deceptions do not necessarily make him a false prophet. Nevertheless, God punished Eli for condoning (1 Samuel 2:29) the evil of his sons. Eli did not rebuke (1 Samuel 3:13) them. Tolerance of sin is not an approved biblical method. We live in a day when prophets, pastors, teachers and others lift up and praise adulterers. God forbid! Adultery is sin, not an act of faith. Copeland and his woman have an infamous sexual/marital background. Copeland claims he had spiritual mentors Kenneth Hagin and Oral Roberts, both involved in the condonation, if not promotion, of adultery and preaching the gospel at the same time! It's scary to send your children to a church today because their “generals” may be teaching them immorality. Prophets keep the people in line with God's written word. John the Baptist was faithful, even unto death. It isn't possible to serve God and to break his law at the same time! Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to destroy it. Purity in marriage began with Adam and Eve and is expected today. Christians must not be hard-hearted as the people were under the “second law” of Moses; we must follow purity in marriage even as the Lord Jesus demonstrated to his antagonists. We have many marriages today that are not lawful, not based on purity. They can't be amended so as to make them pure; they must be annulled. Marital relationships are not the most important thing in life. Obeying God is! Today, promotion of virginity and pure marriage is rare. However, God's men are obligated to remain faithful, even at the cost of being hated and persecuted.
