Texe Marrs previously referred to Queen Esther as a whore. That is a libelous statement against the book of Esther and the chaste queen. As a matter in fact Esther was chosen as a virgin among several other women having the specific attribute of virginity (Esther 2.2, 3). If Esther had not been a virgin she could not have passed the requirements to be acceptable to enter the pre-marital program at the “house of women” (Esther 2.3) to marry the king Ahasuerus. Even then, she later had to pass a more thorough sexual test of actually being with the king and gaining his personal approval (see Esther 2.13, 14). Those that passed that test were given to the keeper of the “second house” of women. Generally, a whore is a promiscuous woman: a woman that has had sex with more than one living man. Only a foolish woman would have tried to snow the king as to being a virgin if she were not, especially under all the preparation, schooling and peer pressure she would have to undertake. Following that, she would have to prove herself through real experience in bed and whores don't pass the cloth test! Texe Marrs' view concerning the sexual status of Esther is not substantiated. The Bible and the book of Esther give us the complete impression that Esther was a virgin at the time of her marriage and that she remained chaste afterward.
