Comment on Tara's view of God coming to earth: God came in the form of a baby, given birth by Mary. He (Jesus the Christ) is the only way to God. There are no other religions, such as Hindu, that can help you with that. Jesus paid for the sins of people, past, present and future. Anyone who believes on him can be saved and their sins forgiven. However, ignoring that fact and not seeking and finding him will lead to eternal death.

Ancient religions other than Christianity may refer to biblical events and perhaps ancient characters pertaining to it, but those religions did not keep up daily with the service to God. That administration was given to the Hebrews. Don't misinterpret that to mean the “Jewish”, they are not a Hebrew tribe. It was later given to Christians. The Old Testament and New Testament give account of these events, which no other religions are able to do. The Bible is the written testimony of the things of God, not other religions. So if you want the full scope of things, which any researcher should want, read the Scripture. I hope you seek God through reading the New Testament first. Read the Bible and then see if you don't change for the better, in Christ's love, amen.
