Purity is a requirement for a woman to marry. If an unchaste woman flirts so as to engage or marry she is either promoting fornication or adultery and her deceived man could never have a justified relationship with her according to the Bible.

It is illusory to think marriage is instituted by mere contract (or vow)! Marriage is a physical sex act between a virgin female and a male (Ex. 22:16, Dt. 22:13-21, 28, 29)--biblical revelation (and there is agreement with the bridegroom and acceptance by the father of the girl). The virginity of a woman is proof of a woman's eligibility to marry--natural revelation.

Our religious and political ministers don't have an understanding of biblical marriage and do not know how to define it. Senator Grassley investigated Kenneth Copeland, but did not convict him of fornication or adultery. So, as to helping society from committing marital sin, his effort was almost legislatively fruitless. Nevertheless, he did expose the undeserved wealth of an immoral preacher.

Officials having very little national or state ministerial bearing on purity and righteousness, the people are easily misled into relationships and cuckoldry that brings life-time harm to themselves. As we need a local church as the pillar and ground of the truth, the house of the living God, able to give direction from God and men with shining knowledge of God and reputations without reproach, worthy to be officials with acceptable and transparent lives, we also need government reform with Christian rehabilitation of its senators and representatives. Such men who have no or only a little knowledge of God can be dangerous. They may even promote cults of other nations and failing marital theology, totaling miscarrying the beginning naturalization law of no adultery, rather than admitting the Scripture is the authority of God and implementing it in the building of a nation.

Very importantly, understanding engagement requires understanding marriage and its purity expectations, and how it is related to the mystery of Christ and the church. Christ is holy and he foreordained his church “... that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” (Eph. 1:4). So any planning to date should be taken in thought of holiness and God's will, and engagements made with the intent of holiness, male provision as Christ provided for the church all it needs and female submission and obedience to the husband as the church is obligated to Christ, its savior. Love and purity is of essence, and without purity would be a mockery of the institution of marriage. Men such as Perry Stone have promoted “free” to marry or remarry heresy while totally disregarding the biblical concept of purity and sexual innocence.
